175 Years of Hillsdale
What does it mean to endure?

Hillsdale College was founded “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific [and] theological education outstanding among American colleges and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.”

In its more than 175 years, Hillsdale has overcome many struggled years in order to maintain this commitment. As alumni, we’re gathering to ensure that today’s circumstances are not an obstacle to any student willing and able to study here.

This fall, the Ransom Dunn Scholarship—an emergency fund for students in need, started by students and alumni—will be directed to assisting students who have been hit hard by the economic effects of the pandemic and shutdowns. Scholarship support in general will be critical for new and returning students.

Help more students experience a life-changing education—one that develops the mind and improves the heart—by contributing to scholarships today.
