How Revolutionary Was the American Revolution?

What makes a revolution, anyway? In the latest episode of “Office Hours,” Anna Vincenzi, assistant professor of modern European history, discusses evolving Italian attitudes towards the American Revolution. Vincenzi explains that Italians initially viewed the American Revolution not as a high-minded or revolutionary event, but as a British civil war. That all changed after the French Revolution. This is the seventeenth in a series of virtual visits with Hillsdale faculty.

Hillsdale Student Takes Second Place at “Trial by Combat”

Patrick McDonald ‘26 took second place in Trial by Combat, a one-on-one collegiate mock trial national championship co-hosted by Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law and UCLA School of Law. The event is open to only the top 16 individual mock trial competitors in the nation. Abigail Davis ‘25 assisted McDonald as his second chair.
